I would love to own an Airbnb property and have chatted with others who feel the same. Here are 5 reasons I think you should consider owning an Airbnb property or adding a holiday rental you already have to Airbnb.

It doesn’t have to be stressful
There are management companies to help you so that you have to do very minimal work yourself. An Airbnb management company will ensure you have everything in place and get maximum bookings.
It can provide an extra income
If you have a property which is sometimes empty you can earn from it with Airbnb. If you, for example, live in the countryside but have a London property which you stay in during the week you could let it at weekends to travellers. This can turn a property you already have into extra income really easily.
It can utilise a spare room
If you have a spare room or multiple spare rooms this is a way of using them to earn a bit of extra money and thus meaning you can stay in your home even if it is too big for your current needs. Don’t dismiss this if you live in a less desirable area as there are still people travelling for work who need somewhere to stay for the short term!
People prefer an Airbnb to a hotel
As Airbnb’s are becoming more and more popular than hotels your bookings will only increase. Consider the advantages to your property in comparison to a hotel. Things such as having kitchen space, a washing machine perhaps and parking space can be really sought after and make your property more profitable than you realise. Especially if you have a property in the city centre!
It can help you own a holiday home
If you have always wanted to own a holiday home and travel on a budget to your home whenever you fancy then turning it into an Airbnb could be the perfect solution giving you the income to pay for the holiday home so that your breaks there are essentially free! The advantage of this is that you can have all you need in the home and just take personal items with you when you stay there. This means there are the essentials there for your holidaymakers too.
Have you considered a holiday home? Where would you have it? Would you choose somewhere by the coast or in the countryside and hills?
